Funding Amounts First-come, first-serve program. Two types of Vouchers: Mobility Project Voucher of up to $1,000,000 towards the development of zero-emission mobility projects like bike sharing and ride-on-demand services, Need Assessment Voucher of up to $100,000 to conduct a “Community Transportation Need Assessment” that helps under-resourced communities identify gaps and find solutions to their unique transportation needs.

*For tribal communities, set aside for them totaling up to $200,000 for those eligible for the Need Assessment Voucher.

Summary:

The Clean Mobility Options (CMO) is a statewide program that aims to fill the transportation gaps in disadvantaged communities. CMO has two types of funding opportunities: a project voucher and an Assessment Voucher. First, the Project Mobility Voucher is intended to provided funding to projects that will solve public transportations issues with zero-emissions solutions that will help members of disadvantaged communities get to key destinations. The second voucher, the Needs Assessment Voucher, is provided to communities that want to conduct a in depth investigation of their transportation needs. This type of voucher also has more funds set aside for tribal governments.

Qualifying Zero-Emission Projects:

· Bike Sharing

· Ride-On-Demand Services

· Community Transportations Needs Assessment

Requirements:

· Must have completed a Community Needs Assessment within the past four years prior to applying for the Mobility Project Voucher.

· Motor vehicles: Eligible CMO motor vehicles are up to Class 6 (< 26,000 GVWR or <30′ bus length or less).

· Light duty vehicles (LDVs): LDVs eligible for CMO funding must be CVRP-eligible at time of purchase. Eligible light-duty vehicles may be new or used. Used light-duty vehicles must meet CMO eligibility requirements for used vehicles, including but not limited to no less than 4 years old from date of purchase and no more than 48,000 miles driven; and

· Medium-duty vans and buses: medium duty vans and buses are eligible for CMO-funding must be HVIP-eligible at time of purchase and must be new vehicles.
